Who we are

We are a group of journalists, active citizens and highly skilled immigrants who wish to engage with investigative and constructive journalism. And our team is continuously expanding.

What are your plans for the future?

We are continuously working towards delivering what we have promised. We see that what we are doing right now is making a difference and garnering local attention within the international community in Oslo. We are currently investigating into the financial inclusion of migrants and this is a big task that needs time to fulfill. On the business front, we are always looking for advisors and reassessing our business model to make it work. There many exciting things to come, but we need all the help we can get to develop, from internationals and native Norwegians.

Aside from achieving commercial success, what do you see as your startup’s mission?

We will have to take this over a cup of coffee to answer this. Our main mission is to strive to bring peace through journalism and media. Diversity in journalism is important and we will touch on many important areas such as migration, inclusion, integration, and bring about a nuanced debate.

Describe your perfect day at work.

Being able to manage a full time job, kid and squeeze in meetings and tasks for the startup. All of our team members either work or study alongside their positions at The Oslo Desk. So when we meet and be able to see things fall together, that makes my day.
